Lady in Red

By Sophia Spires, age ?

The pale lady in dark bloody red stood in the doorway, she towered over me. I looked up
to apologize to her but when I tried to, I realized I couldn’t, I just stood there. I couldn’t speak, or even move. I just stared at her; I couldn’t believe it No. I didn’t want to believe it. I was petrified, it was if my soul just jumped out of my body. The face, if you could even call it that, had no, eyes, mouth, no ears or nose. It was as if she was sculpted, her face reminded me of a figure that you would see in a shop. Her shiny black hair didn’t move and neither did she. She stood there like a statue, one hand over the other. I tried to move again but I still couldn’t. I just looked at her shiny figure until she lifted her hand and walked away stiffly, at least I think she did or that could be my wishful thinking, Just as I was about to walk through the door, I had a gut feeling something was behind me I turned my head and jumped back and that was when I saw her again
